The Bloudmireé Library

Chiina with 2 eyes… The better to see you with…

Bloodmire; like Vampire, a Hybrid Witch…

When my pen found Bloud…

I was nine when they first started whisperin’ to me…

They came as more than stories, but as whole spirits… entities… full of rhythm. I learned early that to translate their words into written work… I had to connect with them by a means of veneration.

Years of closed practice work and tulpamancy led to a love of world building…

The Bloudmireé Library was born from that knowing. From notebooks passed between friends and class periods, from journals that caught my mind…

What began as a girl meltin’ to music… has become an archive of my Black imagination… a sacred house for my mental minions…

I write to live on the tongue of man… I’m too weird to live, and too rare to die…

A radical activist; full of determination and aspirations… I began to hit stages in and outside of my city. Competing in other states and traveling… Claiming Steel City Grand Slam Champion 2 years in a row… writing stories and poems to reflect the social climate and my sanity. I won Best Writer and Best Poet of 2025.

FAQs

Q: What should I know, bring or do before entering The Bloudmireé Library?

A: Bring an open spirit. Expect transformation. Nothin’ on these shelves is passive. Being here means choosing consciousness. It means you see art as activism, and storytelling as a sacred act. It means you believe in independent creation and in Black brilliance that isn’t watered down for comfort. This library is for the ones who’ve felt misunderstood and magnificent all at once. The ones who know there’s more to ‘everything’ than we’ve been taught... The ones who carry curiosity like a compass. The Bloudmireé Library isn’t for everyone.

Q: Why are all of your characters Black?

A: Because we deserve our own myths not riddled with bullshit. We deserve more than stories built for chastising, ridicule and demonize. Because our magic is real. Because the worlds I create honor the diaspora.

Q: Can non-Black readers enjoy your work?

A: You may enter… quietly, respectfully. You are a visitor... Enjoy; but take heed. Mind your shoes. This is sacred soil, not a safari. Come humbly. Listen more than you speak. Let the stories shift you, not the other way around.

Q: What’s the difference between the Blood Notes, Bloudmireé and New Vamton Tales?

A: The Blood Notes are intimate… handwritten therapy, shadow work, holy ventin’… shit talkin’. The Tales belong to the Family and those who inhabit New Vamton… epic histories, mythic timelines, and spells disguised as storytelling. Together, they form the heart of Bloudmireé. However, Bloudmiree is an old tale soon to be released… The end of a beginning.

Q: Where can I find updates or news?

Our Patreon serves as our sentient Newsletter.

Q: Why do your works blend poetry, prose, and recipes? Why is food so present in your work?

A: Because livin’ Black is already alchemy. Our food is ritual, our grief is art, our joy is rebellion. To separate these things would be to lie about who we are. Food lives here because cooking is the first form of magic most of us ever witnessed. Food is both offering and language. In the Bloudmireé world, food is spellwork, memory work, and art.

Q: Are these stories real or fiction?

A: Both. The events may shift, the timelines may fold, but the feelings are factual. Scenes carry truth from somewhere older than this lifetime, I’m sure. The Library is part memory, part imagination, part ancestral messages and influences from some of my favorite Black scribes.

Q: How can I support you outside of buying books?

A: Spread the myth. Speak my name… Attend the readings. Tell the truth about what you felt. Energy exchange doesn’t always need a dollar…

Q: Why isn’t your work on large retail platforms?

Because our words are not for sale to the same hands that silence us. Volumes here are handmade, independently pressed, and blessed in-house through Bloudmireé Press. I refuse to hand my blood to the same mouths that feed oppression. When you buy from here, you’re a co-conspirator in protecting intellectual sovereignty.
